Public transportation across Paris and Île-de-France will face disruptions from February 9 to 15, 2026, with significant service interruptions on the metro, RER, Transilien, and tram lines operated by RATP and SNCF. The disruptions are due to scheduled modernization work. Here’s what you need to know to avoid getting stuck.
Major changes are once again scheduled to take place on public transportation networks in Paris and Île-de-France from Monday, February 9th, to Sunday, February 15th, 2026. The RATP and SNCF are continuing their major overhaul projects, which include new daytime interruptions on the RER D during the week and maintenance work across several tram lines. The weekend is expected to be particularly busy, with significant service disruptions on Transilien’s lines J, K, N, and P. If you're planning to travel this week, we strongly recommend checking your schedules in advance. Here's an overview of all the expected disruptions.
Which Metro and Tram Lines Are Affected This Week?
On the Paris metro network, one line continues its modernization efforts:
- Line 12: On the evenings of Wednesday the 11th, Thursday the 12th, and Sunday the 15th of February, service will be suspended from 10 PM onwards across the entire line due to modernization work. If you're traveling on these nights, consider planning an alternative route.
On the tramway side, several lines are ramping up construction efforts this week:
- T1: Service remains suspended between Asnières-Quatre Routes and Gare de Saint-Denis, with disruptions continuing across the rest of the line due to damage caused by a third party at L'Île-Saint-Denis. Restoration of service is expected by summer 2026. As a reminder, during the night of May 15-16, 2025, a boat collided with the bridge connecting Saint-Denis to Île-Saint-Denis.
- T2: Until Thursday, February 19 inclusive, service is halted between Porte de Versailles and Suzanne Lenglen due to major modernization work. To travel from Suzanne Lenglen to Porte de Versailles, please walk to the Balard station on T3a.
- T4: From February 9 to March 13 inclusive, between 9:15 PM and 4:30 AM, the entire line will be shut down for maintenance. Additionally, from February 14 to March 23 inclusive, there will be weekend suspensions from 9:15 PM to 4:55 AM between Gargan and Aulnay-sous-Bois. This marks the start of another long-term construction project this week.
- T11: From February 9 to 20 inclusive, every weekday from 10:05 PM, service will be suspended across the whole line for maintenance work.
- T13: Until February 27 inclusive, on weekdays starting at 10 PM, the line will be closed for ongoing construction work.
What disruptions can travelers expect on the RER from February 9 to 15?
The RER lines are experiencing significant disruptions, including daytime service interruptions on the RER D:
- RER B: Travel will be disrupted between Gare du Nord and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV/Mitry-Claye on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15, due to maintenance work. Additionally, until April 3 inclusive, weekday evening services after 10:45 PM will be suspended between Châtelet-Les Halles and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV/Mitry-Claye. Travelers heading to the airport should plan accordingly for this busy weekend!
- RER C: Service disruptions will occur every weekend until February 23, between Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines-Montigny-le-Bretonneux and Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel, as well as between Versailles Château Rive Gauche and Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel. From now until February 27, weekday train services after 11 PM are canceled between Gare d'Austerlitz and Dourdan. Also, until February 27, weekday nights from 11 PM to 3 AM, trains will not run between Gare d'Austerlitz and Juvisy, Gare d'Austerlitz and Pont de Rungis Aéroport d'Orly, and Gare d'Austerlitz and Saint-Martin-d'Étampes. Starting at 9 PM on weekdays until February 27, some sections including Pontoise to Avenue Henri Martin will also be affected, with additional nighttime closures from 11 PM to 3 AM. On Sundays until the 23rd, trains stop running from Gare d'Austerlitz to Dourdan after 11 PM, and until the 22nd, similar evening closures occur to Saint-Martin-d'Étampes. The station at Issy will be temporarily inaccessible until March 8. From February 9 to 13, weekday services from 9:50 PM to 3 AM will be suspended between Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines-Montigny-le-Bretonneux and Javel, as well as between Versailles Château Rive Gauche and Javel. As of Saturday, February 14, after 11 PM, trains will be suspended between Gare d'Austerlitz and Saint-Martin-d'Étampes, with service stopping as early as 9 PM between Gare d'Austerlitz and Dourdan.
- RER D: Starting Saturday, February 14, at 11:15 PM, services will be halted between Châtelet-Les Halles and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. For the weekend of February 15, trains will not run between Gare de Lyon and Melun. From now until February 27, weekday late evening services after 11:15 PM are canceled between Gare de Lyon and both Corbeil-Essonnes and Melun. Furthermore, until February 28, trains are also suspended from Gare de Lyon to these destinations from 11:15 PM every day from Monday to Saturday. During weekday early mornings from 3 AM to 5:45 AM, the line will not operate between Creil and Châtelet-Les Halles. Note that from February 9 to 13, weekday services from 10:11 AM to 1:23 PM between Corbeil-Essonnes and Malesherbes will be disrupted, an unusual daytime interruption. Throughout the period until February 27, at night from 11:35 PM onwards, trains will not run between Creil and Châtelet-Les Halles on weeknights.
- RER E: Until February 16, Sunday service after 10:45 PM will be suspended between Nanterre-La Folie and Chelles-Gournay. Until February 22, evening services after 10:30 PM on Sundays will be interrupted between Nanterre-La Folie and Tournan/Villiers-sur-Marne. From February 28 onwards until the 28th, daily from Tuesday to Saturday between 5 AM and 5:30 AM, trains will not run between Villiers-sur-Marne-Le Plessis-Trévise and Nogent-Le Perreux heading towards Nanterre-La Folie. Additionally, until February 13, weekday service from 8:30 PM onwards between Nanterre-La Folie and Tournan will be affected, with some scheduled evening outages.
Which Transilien lines will be affected from February 9 to 15?
The Transilien network is experiencing numerous disruptions this week, especially over the weekend:
- Line H: Travel between Épinay-Villetaneuse and Ermont-Eaubonne will be suspended on weekends until February 22 due to ongoing work.
- Line J: Service will be interrupted between Mantes-la-Jolie and Asnières-sur-Seine via Poissy until February 13, from Tuesday to Friday after 10:40 pm. Stops at Argenteuil, Val d'Argenteuil, Cormeilles-en-Parisis, La Frette-Montigny, Herblay, and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine will also be non-served during weekdays until February 13, from Monday to Friday after 9:45 pm. Additionally, weekends until March 9, service between Gare Saint-Lazare and Argenteuil/Ermont-Eaubonne will be halted from 11:30 pm to 7:15 am. The same weekend hours apply for the connection between Gare Saint-Lazare and Houilles-Carrières-sur-Seine. On Saturday, February 14, from 11:45 am onward, service will be disrupted between Mantes-la-Jolie and Les Mureaux, as well as between Gare Saint-Lazare and Houilles-Carrières-sur-Seine toward Gare Saint-Lazare and Vernon-Giverny. Expect significant daytime disruptions on that Saturday.
- Line K: Service will be halted between Gare du Nord and Crépy-en-Valois from February 14 to 15, marking a challenging weekend for this route.
- Line L: Until March 8 at 7:30 am, travel between Gare Saint-Lazare and La Défense will be suspended. From February 9 to 27, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after 9:10 pm, service between Saint-Cloud and Versailles Rive Droite/Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche Forêt de Marly will be limited. On the weekend of February 14-15, from 11:30 pm to 7:30 am, the line will not operate between Gare Saint-Lazare and La Défense.
- Line N: From February 9 to 13, weekdays from 10 pm to 2:59 am, service between Gare Montparnasse and Rambouillet will be interrupted. On February 14, from 11:30 am, service will be disrupted between Épône-Mézières and Mantes-la-Jolie, affecting connections toward Mantes-la-Jolie and Gare Montparnasse. Expect further daytime disruptions on Saturday.
- Line P: From February 14 to 15, service between Meaux and La Ferté-Milon/Château-Thierry will be halted. On February 15, from 10 pm, the line will be closed between Gare de l'Est and Château-Thierry. Until March 29, on Sundays from 11 pm to 3:25 am, service between Gare de l'Est and Château-Thierry will be suspended. Similarly, on Sundays until March 29, from 10:50 pm to 3:50 am, the connection between Gare de l'Est and Meaux will be unavailable. From now until March 30, Sundays from 10:30 pm to 1:10 am, trains won't run between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers. Weekend evening closures starting as early as 10:50 pm will affect service between Gare de l'Est and Meaux, as well as between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers. On weekdays until February 13, from 10:20 pm, service between Gare de l'Est and Meaux will be paused. From February 27, the line will be closed on weekdays from 10 pm between Gare de l'Est and Château-Thierry, and from 7:45 pm to Provins. Additionally, from February 27, weekdays from 8:30 pm, service between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers will be suspended, with some trains extending to Provins.
- Line R: Until March 1, weekend trains leaving after 11:15 pm between Gare de Lyon and Melun will not run.
- Line U: Until February 13, weekdays after 9:20 pm, service between La Défense and La Verrière will be interrupted. The work on this line is scheduled to conclude in the middle of the week.
How to plan your travel for the week ahead?
From February 9 to 15, 2026, expect a particularly challenging week with numerous daytime service disruptions. The RER D will be suspended from Monday to Friday between Corbeil-Essonnes and Malesherbes from 10:11 a.m. to 1:23 p.m., a rare occurrence that will affect your midday travel plans. The weekend also promises to be busy, with significant interruptions on Transilien's lines J, K, and N starting midday on Saturday.
