On June 4, 5 and 11, 2025, the SNCF will be facing three days of strike action, called by the CGT-Cheminots union. In the Île-de-France region, the RER B is already expected to be disrupted on Wednesday June 4 and Thursday June 5. Precise forecasts will be published on Tuesday June 3 at 5pm, so we'll have to wait a little longer to find out more. However, SNCF is announcing"normal traffic on TGV and Intercités trains, as well as on most regional TER and Transilien trains". However, disruptions are to be expected in the Paris region.
This Wednesday, traffic is severely disrupted on the RER B. On average, 1 train out of 2 will be running on the northern part of the line, and 2 trains out of 3 on the southern part. However, traffic is expected to return to normal by Thursday. On RER C, disruption will be more limited, with 3 out of 4 trains running. Slight disruptions are also expected on RER D.
On Thursday, the Transilien N and U lines will be affected by minor disruptions. Remember to check the forecasts regularly on SNCF Connect or the dedicated mobile application.
The mobilization is part of a wider movement initiated in the spring, with recurring demands for higher wages, better working conditions and greater access to vocational training. On June 4, only drivers will be on strike, while on June 5, all SNCF professions will be involved.
Demonstrations are planned across France this Thursday, June 5, 2025. In Paris, the rendezvous is at theÉcole Militaire from 2pm. If you are traveling by car, please avoid this area.
A third strike day is scheduled for Tuesday June 11, this time on the initiative of the controllers, with demands linked to their bonus system. Once again, forecasts will be closely monitored.
In the face of these successive social movements, we recommend :
Cancelled train tickets can be exchanged or refunded free of charge. June looks set to be a complicated month for daily commuting in the Paris region, with the social context still tense as summer approaches.
