Every year, the month of October is marked by an international awareness-raising operation: Octobre Rose. This initiative calls for the fight against breast cancer, and throughout the campaign, solidarity events are organized all over the world, including in Paris and the Île-de-France region. The month is punctuated by concerts, workshops, initiations and other activities designed to raise awareness, adopt the right reflexes and raise funds to help research.
On the outskirts of Paris, along the outskirts of the city, the town of Montrouge in the Hauts-de-Seine department is also unveiling a whole program of events to celebrate Pink October. While in Paris, the event is often kicked off by the pink illumination of emblematic monuments in the City of Light, in Montrouge, the façade of an iconic building is also decked out in the colors of the event: the Belfry.
Under the theme of "La Ville en Rose", the program designed by local association Le Papillon includes pop and orchestral concerts, film screenings and well-being workshops (self-massage, yoga, sophrology, etc.). The idea? To raise awareness with a smile and in a friendly spirit. Stay tuned for details of the program.
