It must be said that this new urban transportation option is sure to pique the curiosity of residents of Île-de-France. Spanning four municipalities in the Val-de-Marne, the region’s first urban cable car will serve a total of five stations and take approximately 18 minutes to connect Créteil to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges—compared to 40 minutes by bus. Another feature of the Cable C1, designed by Île-de-France Mobilités and operated by Transdev? It’s the longest urban cable car in Europe, thanks to its 4.5 km route!

In France, it surpasses the Téléo, Toulouse’s urban cable car, which spans 3 km, as well as the cable cars in Grenoble (700 meters long) and Brest, measuring 420 meters.

In Europe, the C1 Cable surpasses the cable car at Barcelona's port in Spain, which has an estimated route length of 1,303 meters.

However, the C1 Cable still lags far behind the La Paz - El Alto cable car, officially named "Mi Teleférico". Connecting the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto, this cable car system was inaugurated on May 30, 2014, and remains to this day the largest urban cable car network in the world, stretching over 30.5 km!
