On Monday 13 and 14 July 2026, users of the Paris and Île-de-France public transport network will need to adapt. Because of the fireworks from the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Concert of Paris at the Champ-de-Mars, the military parade, and the World Cup semi-final between France and Spain, traffic will be disrupted on the metro and RER networks over the two days. Security measures, taken at the request of the Police Prefecture, will thus trigger the closure of several metro stations this Monday, notably on lines 6, 8 and 9.
But that’s not all, as the RER C is also affected by these measures on July 13. Transilien SNCF announces the early closures of several stations on this busy RER line. Specifically, the Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel station will be closed on Monday from 15:00, while the Pont de l'Alma station will be inaccessible from 18:00. Three other RER C stations will close on July 13 from 19:00 until end of service; these are the Invalides, Avenue Président Kennedy and Javel.
"In addition, traffic will be severely disrupted between Champ de Mars and Pontoise from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM," warns Transilien SNCF, which urges travelers to check train times on the Île-de-France Mobilités app, the transilien.com site, SNCF Connect, or their mobility app."
