One after another, the awards for the Cannes 2025 Festival begin to roll in. Semaine de la Critique, Quinzaine des Cinéastes, Palm Dog, Palmarès de la Cinef... Now it's the turn of the Prix Ecoprod to be unveiled. Created by theEcoprod association in 2022, this prize rewards feature films produced in the most eco-responsible way possible.
The jury for this 4th edition of the Prix Ecoprod was chaired by writer-director Carine Tardieu, and included director, screenwriter, actor and author Maurice Barthélemy, climate justice activist Adélaïde Charlier, editor-in-chief of The Good Émilie Kovacs, eco-production coordinator Mathieu Thill and production administrator and impact manager at Cinéfrance Studios Géraldine Toitot .
In view of the quality of the 18 films competing for the award, the jury chose to award three distinctions:

The Prix Ecoprod also pays tribute to thehistoric commitment of the Dardenne brothers, and highlights the role played by directors in the industry's ecological transition.
"We're rewarding this film, on this issue, but it's their entire cinema, their entire way of making films since their beginnings that we're rewarding. I hope that if the Dardenne brothers receive an award at the Cannes Film Festival ceremony, they'll mention this Ecoprod prize too, and that they'll encourage other filmmakers to make as much effort as they have," declared jury president Carine Tardieu.
