While everyone has already played the game of cat and mouse in the schoolyard, are you familiar with Chase Tag, the derivative discipline that borrows heavily from parkour? This movement art has become a true sport, delivering fast-paced, agility-driven shows packed with jumps, dodges and tumbles. And you’ll get a chance to see it live as the World Championship lands in Evry-Courcouronnes, at the Arènes Grand Paris Sud, on 6 and 7 June 2026.
The world’s top men’s and women’s teams will clash in the arena, in short, high-octane formats that are ultra-visual, with around a dozen rounds lasting just a few seconds! Very popular in the United States and the United Kingdom, chase tag has taken root in this town in Essonne for several years. France even clinched the World Series title in 2019! This year, they’ll face, among others, the United States, England, Morocco, Sweden, and China.
As a reminder, in this competition athletes must come out on top in chase races where one player, the chaser, must tag his opponent, the runner, within a time limit and along an obstacle course inside an arena known as the Quad.
