What better way to discover a region than on foot or by bike? Soft mobility and slow travel (a slow way of travelling, as the name suggests) are all the rage: how about discovering the Île-de-France region this way?
Paris has no shortage of great cycle routes. Neither does the Seine-et-Marne département! We've already heard of the Paris-Meaux cycle route, along the Canal de l'Ourcq from the Parc de la Villette, but now we're heading for the Brie region, between Coulommiers, Crécy-La-Chapelle and La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, to discover the banks of the Marne or the Grand Morin!
To mark the occasion, the Pays de Brie tourist office is offering a number of cycling itineraries to help you discover the region and its treasures. Historic cheese dairies, culinary heritage tours, bucolic corners and wide open spaces await you! As an added bonus, electric bicycles - city models or mountain bikes - are available on a self-service basis from the La Ferté-sous-Jouarre tourist office, for a sporting (but not too sporty), turnkey outing.
All cycling routes are available on the Komoot app, so you can get out and about on your own! Please note that these bike routes are for adults only, as they can be difficult for children, and there are no self-service children's bikes.
