Each year, Europe Day aims to showcase citizen-driven initiatives that foster social cohesion and the building of Europe. Celebrated across the European Union on May 9, this date recalls the Schuman Declaration, regarded as the founding act of European integration. And every year, numerous events are organized around this occasion.
For several years now, the City of Paris has hosted Europe Day. For the 2026 edition, the gathering takes place this Saturday, May 9. And just like last year, this Europe Day in Paris invites you to Place de la République. The program? A festive and cultural day blending music, debates, activities, and food trucks, all open to everyone. This May 9, a true European village will set up on the Place de la République, with activities and celebrations putting the European Union in the spotlight.
Beyond the stands associative and institutional, Parisians will also be able to discover free fun activities as well as food trucks, with on the menu a dining offer highlighting Belgian, Italian and French specialties.
Music will, of course, be on the program with three free concerts to enjoy from 6:30 p.m. This year, festival-goers can discover French singer-songwriter and musician Solann. Also on the bill are Valeria Stoica, hailed as an authentic and acclaimed figure of Romania's indie scene, and Ukrainian artist Postman.
Here's a must-attend event to celebrate Europe this weekend in Paris!
