This château in the Yvelines region will host a drone show, lanterns, and a grand fireworks display at the end of May.

In the Yvelines (78), Rosny-sur-Seine lights up the stage for the 7th edition of "A Thousand and One Lights: Rosny-sur-Seine Goes to the Cinema!". The Château Park transforms for one evening into a genuine open-air venue, with a free event and free admission, conceived as a big, popular, luminous, and spectacular moment.

The setting is far from incidental: the Château de Rosny-sur-Seine, once a medieval fortress, was dramatically redesigned at the end of the 16th century by Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully, a trusted adviser to Henry IV. Restored and transformed over the centuries, it is today a listed historic monument since 1941, firmly rooted in the local heritage.

In this storied setting, the evening of Friday, May 29, 2026 unfolds. From 8:30 p.m., the Festival Committee distributes lanterns in front of the gate of Stade Leduc, the first sign of an atmosphere that is slowly taking hold. At 9:15 p.m., the park gates swing open: the audience enters the scene and takes their place at the heart of the site.

At 10 p.m., the evening reaches its peak. A 250-drone show lights up the sky above the park, followed by a fireworks display, to prolong the illumination and keep the site buzzing until the small hours.

Lanterns in hand, a sky in motion, then a final burst: on May 29, the castle’s heritage becomes the living backdrop for a festive evening rooted in light.
