The exhibition Zone de flou offers an immersive artistic experience at the Frigos in Paris, exploring the spectrum from the visible to the invisible, from reality to fiction.

Zone of Blur is a collective, multimedia exhibition showcasing at Aiguillage at Les Frigos in Paris—a unique space dedicated to artistic creation and experimentation in the 13th arrondissement.

At L’Aiguillage, a non-profit organization dedicated to visual arts in all its forms, ambiguity is embraced as a space for transition: a threshold, a zone of flux, a state of change. It’s a territory for exploration that invites one to delve into uncertainty, the in-between, the moment when familiar points of reference shift and evolve.

All mediums, disciplines, and worlds of imagination come into play. Between the visible and the invisible, reality and fiction, clarity and disorientation, the exhibition features still and moving images, installations, mobile sculptures, digital creations, videos, and hybrid setups. Together, they craft a sensory journey where ambiguity becomes a tool for perception—a poetic exploration that is both aesthetic and sensory: unveiling instability, ambiguity, and the vibrant energy of life in motion.

Designed as a space for alternative ideas and meaningful encounters, this exhibition encourages visitors to slow down, explore the ambiguities, and embrace uncertainty as a valuable experience.

Misty, hazy, blurry, vaporous, indistinct, foggy, veiled, faded, trembling, indistinguishable, fleeting…

Cognitive, spatial, visual, sensory, artistic, optical, emotional, identity-based, and gender-related blur.

And you, what confusion are you going through?

An Artistic Journey Through Reality and Imagination

Through a sensitive and dynamic journey, Zone de Flou explores our relationship with clarity, illusion, and boundaries. Here, you will discover:

  • Static and moving images that elude the viewer's gaze,
  • Hybrid installations and mobile sculptures teetering on the edge of abstraction,
  • Digital creations that blur the boundaries of perception,
  • Sensorial videos and devices that challenge clarity and intentionally foster confusion.

Every piece becomes a window into what remains beyond our grasp. Uncertainty transforms into an experience to feel, to observe, to explore with full immersion.

Les Frigos de Paris, former cold storage warehouses renovated by artists, provide a unique setting for this exhibition. Anchored in a place of life, creation, and artistic resistance, Memento Vivere is part of a broader approach to promotingliving art and sensory experiences. Far from sterile galleries, this alternative venue immerses you in a direct relationship with the material and the artistic gesture.

Take the opportunity to explore Les Frigos, a historic site in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, known for its iconic water tower.

Aiguillage is a renowned hub of Paris's cultural scene, established in 1995 by Corinne Bertelot, a photographer and artist based at Les Frigos — a well-known center for creation and production in the 13th arrondissement.

Far from just an exhibition space, L'Aiguillage also positions itself as an active participant in social and humanitarian initiatives, regularly partnering with organizations like Médecins Sans Frontières, the International Prison Observatory, Greenpeace, Act Up, and Refugee Food to raise awareness on pressing issues.
