The L’Aiguillage cultural center is hosting SHEROES.1, a multimedia group exhibition spotlighting overlooked women figures. The exhibition runs from March 28 to April 24, 2026, in celebration of International Women’s Rights Day.

The cultural space L’Aiguillage will host the group exhibition SHEROES.1 from March 28 to April 24, 2026, as part of the celebration for International Women's Rights Day.

This multimedia exhibition brings together around fifteen female and male artists who aim to highlight underrepresented women from various eras, cultures, and life stories.

Through contemporary artworks, workshops, and opportunity for dialogue, the project invites visitors to explore the concept of heroine, whether ordinary or extraordinary, within a space dedicated to artistic creation and conversations around feminism.

Experience the exhibition firsthand at the opening event on Friday, March 27, 2026, starting at 6 PM.

A Multimedia Exhibition Celebrating Forgotten Heroines

The SHEROES.1 project showcases a diverse collection of female figures from different eras, representing a variety of cultures and social backgrounds. Some of these women have been stigmatized, erased from history, or left out of mainstream narratives, while others were marginalized because of their ethnicity, social status, or disabilities.

Approximately fifteen artists, both female and male, are dedicated to exploring these journeys through various artistic mediums. Visitors are invited to experience a diversity of visual and storytelling expressions, offering multiple perspectives on these life paths.

The fields showcased may include:

  • Contemporary art installations,
  • Visual and plastic artworks,
  • Creations inspired by archives or historical narratives,
  • Artistic interpretations centered on notable women.

Each piece offers a unique perspective on exploring the concept of female heroism and the role women play in shaping collective stories.

Meetings, Workshops, and Discussions on Art and Feminism

Beyond the exhibit itself, L’Aiguillage in Paris also offers interactive sessions designed to extend visitors' engagement. Known for hosting diverse cultural projects, this venue has organized various formats that encourage meaningful exchanges between artists and audiences.

The program notably includes:

  • cultural activities centered on the themes of the exhibition,
  • interactive workshops,
  • opportunities for discussions and exchanges with artists or organizers.

These events provide an opportunity to explore issues surrounding the representation of women in art and history, while also creating an inclusive space for public discussion and dialogue.
