This fall, get ready to break out your sneakers! From September 4 to 13, 2025, Paris Design Week is back with a bang! For ten days, the city transforms itself into a giant showroom, with exhibitions, installations, workshops and conferences that shake things up. From cutting-edge galleries to ultra-stylish ephemeral venues, the whole world of design - furniture, fashion, architecture, tech - takes up residence in Paris. The event, which is largely free of charge, is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a bath of creativity and sniff out the trends to come.
And this year, it's off to the Marais to discover one of the most inflated installations of the year: Plastic Glamping, by French designer Marianna Ladreyt, takes over the courtyard of theHôtel d'Albret. Following on from the Japanese brand MUJI 's manifesto house in 2024, this emblematic site welcomes a new immersive work, this time conceived as a pop, poetic refuge, made from upcycled beach buoys. Damaged, punctured or forgotten, these vacation relics are given a second life in a life-size cone tent , where every detail has been hunted, sewn and transformed.
Inside: stained glass buoys, soft flooring, hand-sewn furniture and an enveloping atmosphere straight from the imagination of a "plastic hunter".
A circular design bubble where nothing is lost, everything is reinvented - proof that with a little air and a lot of ideas, you can make desirable new from forgotten old.
