Calling all lovers of the beautiful, the cutting-edge and the creative: Paris Design Week returns from September 4 to 13, 2025, transforming the capital into a gigantic living moodboard! For ten days, Paris becomes the world's design hotspot, a giant open-air where exhibitions, art installations, workshops and conferences unfold in the most inspiring neighborhoods. The pitch? An overview of the most exciting trends, signed by both established designers and up-and-coming talents, with a skilful mix of furniture, fashion, architecture and new technologies. The event is virtually 100% free and open to all, perfect for strolling between contemporary galleries, designer showrooms and ephemeral spaces without breaking the bank. In short, it's the must-attend autumn event for anyone who loves originality, boldness and design in all its forms.
Among the highlights of this 2025 edition, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature plays the role of inspired host with two brand-new installations, on view until the European Heritage Days (September 20 and 21, 2025).

First stop: OK MOKU HANGA, a work by Sébastien Desplat with the graphic touch of Fanette Mellier. One day, the artist came across an old book printed in Japan 160 years ago, peeled back page after page the secret of traditional wood engraving... and came up with an ultra-contemporary reinterpretation. The result is an installation in two parts: a daytime version in risography, full of the play of light, and a night-time version in woodcut, sculpted by shadows. All orchestrated around a central motif - an owl and its prey - that begs a simple question: who's watching whom? A must-see, especially if you drop by Desplat's free workshops on September 7 and 21, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., to see the magic of engraving come to life before your very eyes.

The mood changes with Sophia Taillet's creation Spinning Around, which transforms the museum courtyard into a hypnotic stage using nine rotating mirrors. It's simple: everything moves, everything sparkles, and the 17th-century architecture of the site becomes the main actor in this silent dance. The installation plays on circularity, a nod to the gestures of dancers and craftsmen. For total immersion, join us on September 7 at 3, 4 or 5 p.m.: dancer-choreographer François Malbranque and sound composer Matthieu Gasnier will bring a live performance to life. It's free, no reservations required (so it's first come, first served!). This work is proof that design is also a question of rhythm and emotion!
