When fashion sculpts myths. From October 20 to 24, 2025, Simon Porte Jacquemus orchestratesthe exhibitionMythesat the Collège des Bernardins (Paris 5th arrondissement). A true director of forms and symbols, the designer takes on the roles of curator and scenographer to create a dialoguebetween works from Antiquity and sculptures by Aristide Maillol. In this tête-à-tête, he composes a series of dreamlike mini-scenes, full of light, sensuality, and impertinence, where the eye immediately recognizes the Jacquemus touch—that balance between poetry and audacity, between ancient drama and Provençal joy.
Here, the gods descend from their pedestals, fashion becomes living myth, and the designer's gentle madness becomes the stuff of dreams.
Produced in collaboration with Galerie Chenel and Galerie Dina Vierny, this free exhibition will then continue in these galleries from October 30 to December 20, 2025, allowing visitors to stroll and explore each detail at their own pace.
Known for his immersive and ultra-Instagrammable runway shows, Jacquemus deploys his signature arty and sunny style in Mythes, like an invitation to stroll and be surprised. Here, fashion leaves the catwalk to become a gaze, a sculpture, a mirage. Ancient legends are reborn under his mischievous eye, between derision and raw beauty.
Under the vaults, visitors enjoy hunting for references to the designer's world: a glass of orange juice forgotten at the foot of a Greek bust, a laundry room transformed into an exhibition hall, orange trees growing the Mediterranean in the heart of stone... Everything exudes a gentle extravagance, combining humor, poetry, and southern sunshine.
In 2024, he had already designed the scenography for the Fête des Puces in Paris, of which he was patron, and imagined a special exhibition of works by François-Xavier Lalanne at a sale organized by Christie's in New York.
Between marbles, silhouettes, and everyday objects, the exhibition reinvents the ancient epic in Jacquemus style: light, mischievous, and terribly desirable.
