The National Museum of Patriarchy returns for a second edition at the Rotonde Stalingrad, from October 31 to November 10, 2025, a committed festival that imagines a future where patriarchy is a thing of the past, while questioning the present. The association En avant toute(s) has created an exhibition combining fictional artifacts, humor, and emotions in an interactive and offbeat journey, as well as a festive program.
The year is 2135, and patriarchy is a thing of the past. A bygone era, but not forgotten, traces of which we preserve in a memorial site: this is the pitch for this unusual and humorous museum. Everyday objects, interactive installations, references to current events, testimonials, and original creations serve as relics of patriarchy, alongside feminist slogans on the walls,a "vase of whining tears,"and even a fist punched into a wall, representing toxic masculinity.
According to the association, the museum "aims above all to reveal the flaws, violence, and absurdity of a patriarchal system, highlighted with humor and a deliberately offbeat approach." An exhibition for everyone, with guided tours and awareness sessions organized , as well as a small thrift store area.
The museum is also hosting a program designed to encourage discussion, including talks, stand-up comedy, drag shows, concerts, DJ sets, workshops for adults and children, podcast recordings, and a charity marathon on Twitch from October 31 to November 2. Tickets cost €10 (standard) and €5 (reduced) for daytime access to the exhibition, with tickets available on site from November 1 to 8, and €5 to €15 for the evening program.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to fund the association's efforts to prevent violence and support victims, in the hope that one day we will see a future free from violence and discrimination. This is an unusual exhibition, aimed at those who enjoy cultural experiences with a social conscience, who are sensitive to issues of gender equality and feminist struggles.
Some of the installations are striking and will easily appeal to women and men who are open to this dry humor. The festival will also appeal to those who enjoy hybrid events, thanks to the entertainment on offer. However, if you are looking for a historical exhibition, this is not about the history of feminism! As for those who prefer events without a militant stance, they may be less receptive.
