For more than 10 years now, Toctoc has been leaving his artistic mark on the walls of several French cities and elsewhere thanks to his Duduss. This funny and endearing character, created by the street artist in 2012, has become familiar to many Parisians. With his minimalist look and large, toothless open mouth, Toctoc's Duduss can now be seen in the streets of the capital, of course, but also in Montrouge, Malakoff, Joinville-le-Pont, Montpellier, and Lyon. Now, his characters are even appearing in exhibitions in France and abroad.
Each time, Toctocplays with his Duduss in a creative and offbeat way to convey messages full of good humor. With his Duduss, the street artist also likes to reinterpret famous personalities such as Freddie Mercury, Van Gogh, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, -M-, Basquiat, Salvador Dali, Coluche, as well as characters such as Harry Potter, Spiderman, and Woody Woodpecker!
This fall, Toctoc invites you to discover his newsolo exhibition in Paris. Organized with Urban Signature, this installation takes place in a small Parisian gallery located at No. 8 Square Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, in the 4th arrondissement of the capital. Despite its small size, the gallery is unveiling nearly 60 original and humorous works by Toctoc. Small and larger formats are on display for the occasion, with the theme of portraiture. The exhibition is entitled "Tire-moi le portrait" (Draw myportrait).
The exhibition features the famous character Duduss, created by Toctoc, paying tribute to artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Van Gogh, Homer Simpson, Frida Kahlo, and street artist Banksy, as well as the Mona Lisa, George Brassens, Freddie Mercury, and Michael Jackson. These portraits were created especially for this exhibition, the artist's most important to date.
During our visit, Toctoc told us that he began creating his first works for this installation in September 2025. Less than three months later, the result is impressive and very successful, demonstrating the talent and creativity of its author. While Duduss' characters obviously make us smile and laugh, we also appreciate the different media chosen and reworked by the artist, who loves to hunt for bargains. Old frames, synthetic grass, slate... the medium is an integral part of the work.
Toctoc has also played the originality card for this exhibition. The artist is unveiling a series of target-inspired works inspired by Niki de Saint Phalle and created with a rifle. Another original feature?Toctocis offering visitors the chance tohave their portrait taken. If you're tempted by the experience, it will cost you €90, and you'll need to stick to certain times. Toctoc is at the gallery for these portrait shooting sessions on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 6pm.
Come and discover Toctoc's quirky and funny world right now in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. Please note that this exhibition will only run for five days, from Wednesday, November 26 to Sunday, November 30, 2025. And as always with Urban Signature, the event is free to attend. The gallery is open on Wednesdays from 4pm to 9pm, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am to 7pm, and Sundays from 11am to 6pm.
