The Future Was Better Before: an exhibition by street artist S4M at the Galerie Nature Forte

After transforming itself into a giant color chart thanks to the works of 90 artists, the Galerie Nature Forte, located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, is now showcasing the work of a single street artist. His name? S4M. Self-taught, S4M tried his hand at various artistic techniques at a young age, such as Indian ink, graphite, and watercolor, with a clear preference for black and white. He discovered the world of street art later on and began creating murals featuring anonymous faces and animals. Light plays a key role in each of his works.

From November 20 to December 6, 2025, S4M will take over the Galerie Nature Forte to present his new solo exhibition, entitled "Le Futur c'était mieux avant" (The Future Was Better Before). Through this installation,S4M aims to make visitors reflect on the place that certain objects, often more ephemeral than useful, have taken in our lives.

The artist, who as a young man saw the future as "a world of ingenious inventions and gadgets designed to simplify life," wants to show what really lies beneath "this veneer of progress," namely depleted resources and oceans saturated with electronic relics. This is a subject dear to the Galerie Nature Forte. This artistic space was created in March 2023 by Jonk, a photographer specializing in urbex. Since then, the Parisian gallery has been exhibiting the work of artists who showcase the power of nature. From paintings and sculptures to photographs, drawings, and illustrations, Galerie Nature Forte presents all types of artistic activity, each with the same goal: to expose the power of nature.

From November 20 to December 6, 2025, come and discover the socially conscious works of street artist S4M. Nearly 30 creations will be unveiled for the occasion. And as always, admission is free! So, come to the gallery, Wednesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., to admire the works of S4M. An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, November 20, starting at 6 p.m., with the artist in attendance.
