The Fête de la Nature returns from May 20 to 25, 2026 with a major lineup of free activities centered on wildlife and flora, across Paris and Île-de-France. In the Hauts-de-Seine (92), the festival looks set to shine with a meticulously crafted program for children and the curious grown-ups, starting May 20. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the event, launched in 2007, lending a special drive to this edition.
Whether you're after a guided stroll, a biodiversity workshop with your little one, or a birdwatching session with a specialist, you’ll surely find an activity that suits you in the 92. Walks, workshops and evening outings will bring the Parc départemental des Chanteraines, a vast green lung straddling Villeneuve-la-Garenne and Gennevilliers, to life for everyone. - In Bagneux : Guided walk from the village center of Bagneux to the banks of the Bièvre in Cachan, on May 20 from 2:00 PM to 5:45 PM, organized by Habiter la Porte d'en Bas. A descent from the plateau to the plain to discover the continuous greenery linking the two towns, with stops at natural gardens, urban groves, and along the Bièvre’s banks. - In Bois-Colombes : Nature activities and workshops at Parc des Bruyères, on May 20 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, organized by the Bois-Colombes Town Hall. About fifteen free activities for all ages: composting workshop, discovery of the Seine ecosystem, mosquito awareness, a stand on urban biodiversity, calabash workshop, the world of bees (glass hive, honey tasting, candle making), a “insect safari” treasure hunt, readings and Land Art with the media library. Guided ecologist-led walks in four time slots (10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:00 PM), on registration. Open to all, activities suitable from age 3 and up.
- In Neuilly-sur-Seine : Lunch break with the birds of Île de Puteaux, on May 21 from 12:00 to 12:55 PM, organized by the Local LPO Est Ensemble Group in partnership with the LPO. A relaxed, 50-minute stroll to spot chickadees, warblers, and treecreepers. Suitable for children 6 and up and accessible with strollers; wheelchair and visual-impaired friendly. - In Villeneuve-la-Garenne (Farmstead at Parc des Chanteraines) : activities organized by the Hauts-de-Seine Departmental Council, May 18–22, 2026. Program includes: discovery workshop on sheep farming and ecological grazing (May 18 for schools), soil life workshop (May 20, for ages 3+), “Happier than a Hedgehog” (May 20 and 22, ages 6+), ecosystems and food chain workshop (May 20, ages 8+), awareness of ecological grazing during a herd walk (May 21 for middle-school groups). Who is the Fête de la Nature in the 92 for?
This event is perfect for families with kids as well as nature lovers, whether you’re into birdwatching or simply want to spend a quality time outdoors without breaking the bank. All activities are free and open to everyone. Come prepared with sturdy shoes, binoculars tucked in your bag for the birds, and plenty of curiosity. For nocturnal strolls, a flashlight is, of course, welcome. Nearby, there are plenty more reasons to head outdoors in the 92, including the Hauts-de-Seine’s parks and green spaces, whose large departmental parks are among the region’s finest.
