The Living Room: an encounter with the emerging contemporary scene at Reiffers Initiatives

Reiffers Initiatives unveils its latest exhibition celebrating the vibrant young contemporary scene. Located at 30 Rue des Acacias in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, just a short walk from Avenue de la Grande-Armée and Porte Maillot, the Reiffers Art Initiatives center presents a dedicated space for contemporary creation with “The Living Room.”

The Living Room, offers an immersive journey into France’s emerging contemporary scene, showcasing a curated selection of paintings, sculptures, and artworks, including recent acquisitions from the Reiffers Initiatives collection.

Curated by Thibaut Wychowanok, the exhibition highlights the work of nine artists who have made a significant impact in recent years: Han Bing, Clédia Fourniau, Clémence Gbonon, Dhewadi Hadjab, Leelee Kimmel, Wynnie Mynerva, Anhar Salem, Pol Taburet, and Nanténé Traoré.

The exhibition, The Living Room, invites visitors to explore artworks as if they are in a private collector's lounge. The audience is encouraged to sit, recline, and let themselves be moved by a multitude of realities—coexisting despite a world that often seeks to keep them apart.

In this space, lively as the title suggests, diverse and unique perspectives coexist, showcasing the richness of viewpoints from this new wave of contemporary artists.

Since its founding by Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers in 2021, Reiffers Initiatives has been dedicated to supporting emerging artists and promoting cultural diversity.

Its annual schedule, highlighted by a mentorship exhibition, an award, and the permanent displays from its collection, has helped nurture a remarkable new generation of artists.

During your visit, revisit the site-specific work of Daniel Buren displayed on the foundation's façade titled The Acacias Facade and New Images of the Sky on the glass roof.

Join the guides and explore the exhibition The Living Room. Then settle in to enjoy a curated selection of exhibition books from Reiffers Initiatives!
