For decades, the Montmartre district has attracted artists of all ages and nationalities. Is it the hill topped by the Sacré-Cœur basilica? Its vineyards and parks, its unusual buildings, its breathtaking view of Paris? To find out why this iconic district captivates artists so much, it's simple: just ask them!
To this end,the Anvers aux Abbesses association is organizing an open house from November 14 to 17, 2025. During these four days, curious visitors and art lovers can meet local artists, discuss their creations and artistic process with them, and perhaps even leave with a work of art under their arm!
For 30 years, the Abbesses Association in Antwerp has been bringing theMontmartre neighborhoodto life with this free event. Parisian contemporary artists are showcased in a walking tour that takes us from galleries to artists' studios.
Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics, street art, digital art, mosaics... Visitors can admire a wide variety of creations in all styles. It's hard not to find something to suit your taste! With 123 participating artists in 75 different studios, these open houses are sure to appeal to an equally diverse audience.
During the open house, the artists' association will also present two special exhibitions and an awards ceremony. The public is invited to vote for their favorite artist at the event's reception desk! Each exhibition venue is marked with a red banner. The open house map is available online.
In November, contemporary art lovers are invited to the Montmartre district to enjoy these free open houses!
