Paris is the intimate scene of Barbara's life, from the 6 rue Brochant where she was born, to the house in the 20th arrondissement where she grew up, via the city's night spots . Right in the heart of the intellectual and artistic Left Bank, the cabaret L'Écluse was, for example, one of the places where her voice found itself.
But while the cabaret is now closed, Barbara remains present in the capital through contemporary venues, notably the espace FGO-Barbara in the 18th arrondissement , which pays tribute to her in its own way, organizing concerts, workshops and residencies, and perpetuating her memory through the discovery of new voices.
From theallée Barbara, inaugurated in the Square des Batignolles, to her grave in the Bagneux cemetery, which brings a career to a close with the solemnity of an intimate farewell, follow in Barbara's footsteps in the City of Light.
