What if you spent an August weekend with your head in the stars? With the Nuit des Étoiles 2026, take advantage of the clear summer nights to admire the heavens alongside amateur and professional astronomers. Among the many activities on offer for this occasion in the region, the Uranoscope d'Île-de-France, located in Gretz-Armainvilliers, in Seine-et-Marne, invites you to discover all the mysteries of the celestial vault on 22 August 2026, outside the official weekend. A completely free event open to all!
From 9 p.m. to midnight, families will be able to gaze at the stars using a variety of scientific instruments, and also dive into the magical world of astronomy through talks and naked-eye observations. Note that to start exploring the starry sky, a sky chart is handed out at the start of the evening, with all the explanations needed to follow along and become experts on the stars—just a few weeks after an exceptional eclipse!
Mark it in your calendar and don’t miss the 2026 Nuit des Étoiles for wonderful evenings of stargazing, to be shared with family or friends!
