The Nights of the Stars 2026 return next August. In Paris, head to the Square Louise Michel, on the night of 9 to 10 August 2026, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., for an exceptional evening under a starry sky. On this occasion, the French Astronomical Association invites curious minds of all ages to the square in the 18th arrondissement, at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur, for several hours of stargazing, observing the stars, planets, and the Milky Way.
At the highest point in the capital, members of the association will provide Parisians with glasses and telescopes turned towards the starry sky, sheltered from the lights in the park, and will alternate between observation sessions and sky-spotting workshops, for a magical evening in Montmartre!
Note that if you miss this evening, there are other events planned as part of the Paris Under the Stars program and the after-hours openings of certain Parisian parks and gardens. It’s the perfect time to catch the Perseids all through August!
Admission is free and open to all!
