The warm weather is definitely back in Paris, and one of the hot spots of the summer season is of course the Bassin de la Villette, overlooked by the Rotonde Stalingrad. On the canal, no-license boats set out to conquer the waves, watched by the surrounding terraces. Soon, the area will be transformed into a seaside resort with the return ofÉté du Canal and Paris Plages.
But before that, like a summer before-dinner party, La Rotonde is hosting an ephemeral and festive brewery that promises a great free program. From June 5 to 15, 2025, the historic monument will hostAtelier 1664, a concept that is sure to attract beer lovers, but not only.
For 10 days, a creative festival will be taking place here, including open-air cinema screenings piloted by MK2, which has theatres on the canal nearby, a stand-up evening with FridgeComedy Club, the concept dreamed up by comedian Kev Adams, XXL karaoke, creative workshops, dance and mixology classes, as well as giant bingo and quizzes for those who like a challenge. Some of these activities can be booked in advance via this link, while others are free of charge.
On the food side, because gourmets shouldn't be forgotten, street-food will be in the spotlight, with a menu devised by chef Jordan Moilim. Finally, every evening, the terrace will host open-air DJ sets, and to kick things off, the cabaret Madame Arthur invites herself to the party in the company of Matild.
