Looking for a nice terrace to soak up the sun and enjoy a beautiful view of the capital? Among the capital's hidden rooftops, we'd like to introduce you to the one at the Musée Guimet, which is opening up to us once again for the summer season. This summer, the Han Rooftop takes up residence for a new season atop the Musée des Arts Asiatiques, a stone's throw from Place d'Iéna.
This vegetated Korean terrace , imagined as the deck of an ocean liner, extends over three levels with an exceptional panorama over the rooftops of Paris and the Eiffel Tower .A summer interlude that blends art de vivre, gastronomy and Korean culture in a singularsetting .
Behind this project is chef Young Kyoung Lee, already at the helm of the Hanok restaurant in Paris, and founder of Misso. Here, she offers authentic , family-styleKorean street food . The menu features emblematic dishes such as bibimbap, bulgogiand ramyeon, to be enjoyed in a relaxed daytime atmosphere .
This rooftop is accessible with a museum admission ticket. So you can take advantage of it to visit the museum and its temporary exhibitions. In any case, it's the ideal spot for lunch, a drink or a mochi while admiring the rooftops of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
This experience is part of the Musée Guimet 's commitment to extending the exploration of Asia beyond its collections. After strolling through the galleries dedicated to Asian art , why not prolong the escape by enjoying a yuzu lemonade in front of the IronLady ? It's the perfect opportunity to discover one of the capital's richest museums in a different way .
Getting there couldn't be easier: 6 place d'Iéna, Paris 16th arrondissement, accessible by metro line 9, Iénastation . The terrace is accessible without reservation every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Tuesdays, when the museum is closed. Of course, you can also visit the current exhibitions.
