With its canals, terraces, and urban mixology, Paris's 19th arrondissement welcomes visitors for a great evening in a cocktail bar, a pint of fresh craft beer, or a visit to a natural wine cellar. Here are some great places to go!

The 19th arrondissement of Paris, vast and contrasting, is one of the liveliest but least known areas of the capital. Bordered by the Ourcq Canal and home to the Grande Halle de La Villette and the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, it attracts families and artists as well as students. It is an area undergoing rapid change, where social diversity coexists with a real creative buzz. And when it comes to going out for a drink, the 19th arrondissement has more than one trick up its sleeve.

Around the Canal de l'Ourcq, the terraces fill up as soon as the sun comes out. Here you can sip a craft beer brewed in Île-de-France, a revisited spritz or a freshly squeezed juice in a relaxed and festive neighborhood atmosphere. In the Belleville and Jaurès neighborhoods, cocktail bars compete to be the most daring, offering house creations made with infused syrups, local liqueurs, and spirits from Asia. At La Villette, former industrial wastelands are now home to cultural bars, combining aperitifs and concerts, draft beers, and DJ sets.

But the 19th arrondissement is also a destination for natural wine lovers. Several places offer carefully selected wines. People come here to toast, of course, but also to discuss terroirs, fermentations, and forgotten grape varieties. And when evening comes, the quays become a natural extension of these places. With a glass in hand, facing the water, the 19th arrondissement offers a moment of respite, far from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas.
