Cast off - the season is officially underway! Moored in a quiet corner of the 16th arrondissement, Marina les Maquereaux is making Parisian summer ripple with its brand-new waterfront HQ. Double barge, triple kiss-cool effect: swimming pool, oyster bar, cocktails in the sun, DJ sets, e-foil levitating above the water and Riviera atmosphere, right bank version.
Behind this new floating lair? The Cie Les Maquereaux, who need no introduction. Ten years after rocking the quays of the Seine with their festive barges, they are dropping anchor in western Paris with a project in their image: free, hedonistic, iodized. Here, you can come with the gang, the family, solo or as a couple, for a stylish dejeuner, a summer swim or a sunset cocktail.
Located just a stone's throw from La Défense, Boulogne and Longchamp, Marina les Maquereaux stretches over two barges entirely redesigned for the occasion. It has everything you need to get away from it all without going far: a bright restaurant with an opening roof, a floating corridor pool lined with private deckchairs, sunny decks for open-air dining, a chic bar-snacking area, a kid-friendly space with baby-sitter on Sundays, and even a pontoon for those arriving... by the Seine. Because, yes, you can literally dock for an aperitif.
From midday to midnight, Tuesday to Sunday, everyone finds their tempo here: kids splash around, friends toast, couples brunch, DJs set the mood. And if the sun's beating down, head for the pool. If it's raining? Strategically retreat to the cosy indoor room. Need a spot for a business meeting or private party? La Marina has it all, with a modular space that transforms as the hours go by.
At the helm is Saghatel Karapetyan, an Alain Ducasse-trained chef who has also worked at the Fauchon Hôtel and the Ritz Bar Vendôme. Here, he offers a short, fresh and homemade menu: ceviches, fish of the day, terrine prepared on site, private beach-style club sandwiches, barbecued grills, and an already star fish & chips. Not forgetting the house's historic best-seller: Breton oysters at the bar.
Everything is carefully selected: organic eggs, Label Rouge chicken, seasonal vegetables, organic rosé... and veggie options to boot! Waterfront cuisine that makes everyone feel at home, both on the plate and in the ambiance.
The decor is not flashy, but chic. Studio St. Lazare, already behind Les Roches Rouges and Le Couvent, has created a raw, solar and organic universe. Natural materials, clean lines, antique furniture... it's elegant without overdoing it, warm without overdoing it.
And it's not just a place that floats, it's a committed project. Designed by the Yacht Design Collective, the barge uses recycled materials and limits its impact on the river. In the kitchen, the approach follows: locavore, responsible, zero single-use plastic.
To prolong the pleasure, Green River Cruises - festive or intimate, always with a captain - leave directly from the Marina to cruise the Seine. Terribly Paris.
In short, this summer, you don't have to go far to get off your feet... Marina les Maquereaux takes you right off the quay!
