Alfi, quality sandwiches and good mood in the Marais

There is no doubt that if there is an address in the Marais where good humor reigns, it is Alfi, a street-food restaurant set up by Albert Fitoussi, a street food enthusiast and child of the neighborhood. In the manner of a delicatessen with an industrial and refined decoration, Alfi proposes on its modern ordering terminals the sandwiches that one usually finds in these New York restaurants-caterers, greatly influenced by the Ashkenazi Jewish cuisine.

Starting with beautiful meats, smoked turkey breast, pure beef rosette, smoked veal pickles and other shredded beef and chicken meats, some simmered for no less than six hours; but also the breads (with onions, olives and even halal) prepared especially for the house and the homemade sauces. Quality ingredients, local for the most part, and influences ranging from Paris to New York via Tel Aviv.

Don't miss the Beef Alfiloché (15,90€) in its buttered brioche bread, with a good dose of shredded and melting beef, homemade tatemada mayonnaise, pico de gallo, fried onions and cebette; the N°2 (14,90€) with New York beef pastrami, pure beef rosette, onion confit, gherkins and honey mustard; or theChickenAlfiloché (15,90€), composed of frayed chicken, green tomato mayonnaise, red bean cream, peanuts and red onion pickles.

Note that it is also possible to compose your own sandwich for 15,90€, and that vegetarians are not left on the side of the road with a sandwich with roasted seasonal vegetables (9,90€) - but in reality, one comes to Alfi for its great meats!

Always on the move, Albert Fitoussi has already opened a second Alfi in the 16th arrondissement and is preparing to open in the 8th. And let's not forget the collaborations with street-food aficionados that are not about to stop - chef Mohamed Cheikh in the past and dwitchtorialist Hirmane who is currently signing an Alfi in his own image!
