At Mister Do-San, the star is the sando, with a Mediterranean twist. Based on the Japanese recipe, the sandwiches reveal, among other things, Tunisian flavors.

Here's an original marriage: Tunisian and Japanese sandwiches. At Mister Do-San, recently opened on the now very gourmet Rue de Paradis in the 10th arrondissement, traditional Japanese sando sandwiches are combined with Tunisian sauce and homemade harissa for a world tour of flavors.

So, rainy wedding or happy marriage? From the Land of the Rising Sun, Mister Do-San takes the soft, buttery shokupan bread, snacked just right on the outside; from the Mediterranean, iconic recipes such as the Tunisian sando sandwich (13€) with tuna, méchouia - the famous Tunisian bell pepper salad, fresh lemon, soft-boiled egg and harissa mayonnaise.

A somewhat mixed verdict on tasting, the markers could have been even more advanced and the tastes even more pronounced, to transport us to the other side of the Mediterranean. Another minor disappointment on the day of our visit was the absence of the sando kefta (15€), with beef kefta, méchouia and harissa mayonnaise, unfortunately only available on Fridays.

We're therefore the guinea pigs for a new recipe that takes up the codes of the cheeseburger, which isn't bad; the besbes de fenouil salad (2.50€) on the side could have benefited from a hint of salting salt. Vegetarians and the like can opt for the portobello mushroom sando with panko crust and sheep's milk tomme, which, like the other sandwiches, can be eaten as is or with a drink (1.5€), or with a side and a drink (3€), such as the pleasantly low-sugar homemade lemonade (3.50€).

On the spot or to take away, Mister Do-San also offers to end lunch with sweet touches that are a little removed from its fusion ambitions: a praline and spread sando (4€), or bibesh cookies with white chocolate, matcha and milk chocolate (both 4€).
