And that's two for chef David Gallienne! Already established in Giverny for a couple of years with his Michelin-starred restaurant Le Jardin des Plumes, inherited from chef Eric Guérin, the Normandy-born chef, revealed to the general public thanks to his participation in season 11 of Top Chef, which he won in 2020 over Adrien Cachot, is opening a second address in this Normandy town, a meeting place for Impressionist painters including Claude Monet.
And it's right in the heart of one of the region's most famous museums, the Musée des impressionnismes in Giverny, that David Gallienne's new restaurant Oscar, a true ambassador for his region, will open next spring. Very little has been revealed about this bucolic new restaurant, except that we can already assume that it will feature the finest seasonal produce, as locavore as possible, as the chef is accustomed to using and showcasing.
Just a little more patience, and you'll be able to enjoy this place even more when the sun comes out, in the lush green setting of the Musée des Impressionnismes!
