Florent Ciccoli, the restaurateur behind Café du Coin, presents La Joie, a new Sri Lankan restaurant in Paris.

A new year is always a time to wish each other health, happiness and joy. And La Joie is the name of the new restaurant recently opened by the team behind Café du Coin, a charming restaurant open from morning to night in the 11th arrondissement.

This time, we're not talking Parisian bistronomy, but a cuisine that's colorful, exotic and well-traveled: Sri Lankan cuisine! Not so far from the Maison's first address, La Joie welcomes chef Minod Dilakshan behind the stove, well-versed in the ways of restaurateur Florent Ciccoli (also behind L'Orillon and Recoin), since the chef already officiated in the kitchens of Café du Coin.

The idea behind the restaurant's pretty moniker is as simple as it is beautiful: the restaurant has opened in place of a former Chinese delicatessen called La Joie de Vivre. With half of these words left out, La Joie promises to be one of the capital's only Sri Lankan addresses. And what a pleasure it is to discover new cuisines!

As for the beverages, the brewery Les Bières de Belleville is in charge of the mousses. Prices: €19 for a starter-main course and €22 for a starter-main course-dessert. Test to be found here very soon!
