On October 11, 2025, the Voltaire Consulate opened Sababa, a short-lived Palestinian-Israeli restaurant. A table inaugurated as a sign of dialogue and reconciliation.

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Consulat Voltaire will inaugurate a Palestinian-Israeli restaurant called Sababa, le Goût de la Paix. Created by Radjaa Abou Dagga and Edgar Laloum, with the support of the association Nous Réconcilier, the restaurant is intended to be a symbol of coexistence, dialogue and reconciliation.

Forone season only, this ephemeral restaurant will introduce the curious to emblematic dishes from Palestine and Israel. And on October 11, from 12 p.m. to midnight, the Consulat Voltaire has planned a whole program to inaugurate this new table in style. The program includes artistic performances, dialogue circles, music, dance, concerts and even a banquet.

2:00 pm - 2:30 pm | Poetic performance by Louise, Christina, Edgar - Multilingual, intersecting, embodied poetry. An anthology of texts in Hebrew, Arabic and French. 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm | Karine Gonzalez - Flamenco dance. A singular dancer and choreographer, Karine Gonzalez fuses the arts with grace and power. Trained in flamenco in Seville and Madrid (Amor de Dios school, Lavoisier scholarship), she has collaborated with Tony Gatlif, Antonio Canales, Tomatito, Mick Jagger and Jean-François Zygel, and has performed on the world's greatest stages (Olympia, Covent Garden...). Her universe blends traditional flamenco, literature, classical music and contemporary creation, in a dance that is inhabited, vibrant, rooted and open.

15h00 - 17h00 | Cercle de parole - "Nous Réconcilier". A collective space proposed by the association Nous Réconcilier, to forge links in the face of divisions. Exchanging, listening, understanding, acquiring together the tools to resist fragmentation and make a different voice heard in public debate, on the subject of conflicts in the Middle East. A moment of political and human inspiration.

Now living between Paris and New York, she continues to push back the boundaries of movement with free, carnal and radically poetic gestures.

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm | Concert - Hend Zouari (Qanûn). Hend Zouari, a Tunisian musician and qanûn virtuoso, brings musical traditions into dialogue with today's aesthetics. Trained at the Tunis Conservatory and then in France, she has developed a unique style, blending oriental classical music, jazz, world music and contemporary sounds. Her music, rich and sensitive, is an invitation to travel, a plea for the universality of emotions.

8:00 pm - 9:00 pm | Banquet. A festive and generous moment, to share flavors and impressions, and prepare for the closing in style.

9:30 pm - Closing concert by Jessica Bonamy "Parchem". A concert that crosses the shores of the Mediterranean, languages and memories. From Arabic to Hebrew, Greek to Farsi, voices mingle and traditions meet. Like water, the music flows, sails, invites itself in, breaking down borders and reminding us that beauty lies in the weave. With Jessica Bonamy, the Zaman and Salam ensembles, and Edgar.

22:30- 23:00 - Concert by Syromics, progressive rock and electronic music at the crossroads of exile. Born in the summer of 2023 from a meeting between three Syrian musicians - Simon Abou Assalli (composer, producer, sound engineer), Ibrahim Audih (guitarist) and Omar Haydar (keyboardist) - Syromics is a singular musical project blending progressive rock, electronic sounds and oriental influences. Winners of a scholarship in partnership with the Atelier des Artistes en Exil, the band members share a rich background, between Syria, Lebanon and France. Their music bears witness to a powerful alchemy born of uprootedness, but resolutely turned towards the future.
