A taste of Californian dolce vita awaits us at this place full of good vibes in Suresnes, in theHauts-de-Seine department of the . This spacious spot, which seems sunny even when the weather outside is gloomy, welcomes us with a chill atmosphere, where cacti, surfboards, and faded colors remind us of the West Coast vibe. Welcome to Yolo, the Californian restaurant where relaxation reigns supreme.
But what exactly is Californian cuisine? It is mainly a fusion of American, Mexican, and Italian specialties and products, which can be extended to other European, Latin American, or Asian territories. At Yolo, you'll find colorful dishes whose recipes are sure to appeal to brunch aficionados, as they include all the essentials for this gourmet moment.
The menu is quite straightforward: either fresh recipes or comforting specialties. If you prefer balanced dishes, we recommend the salmon tataki with broccoli purée or the fresh mango ravioli. Note that this recipe isn't actually a ravioli, but rather a trompe l'oeil with a thin slice of exotic fruit enveloping a filling of fresh, crunchy shrimp, all paired with pesto and cashews. It's a combination that works well!
If you're more of a comfort food fan, you'll find some tasty treats here, including Chessy Balls, cheddar and jalapeño croquettes. Don't worry if you have a sensitive palate, they're not spicy, just slightly hot: you can enjoy the taste of chili without setting your tongue on fire.
You'll also find mac & cheese, the ultimate comfort food, but be careful not to let your eyes get bigger than your stomach: it's very filling. Our favorite item on the menu is the chicken burger, with crispy, juicy, house-marinated chicken with delicious smoky notes, melted cheddar, Cajun sauce, and fresh salad, all served with homemade fries, of course.
When it comes to dessert, there's always the same choice to make: go for something light or something comforting. For some, the granola bowl with Greek yogurt, homemade granola, and seasonal fruits galore is a must. For others, there's the star of the show, the YOLO cookie, with chocolate chips and cashews, served with salted caramel sauce and whipped cream: a treat that takes you back to your childhood.
When it comes to drinks, Yolo offers soft drinks such as lemonade and homemade iced tea, both of which are low in sugar, much to our delight. For cocktail lovers, there are also alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations, and the icing on the cake is that the bar offers happy hour from Monday to Saturday, 4pm to 8pm, making it a great place to have a drink, including on its secluded terrace. The place attracts both groups of friends and families, offering a children's menu for €15. Yolo also has a coffee shop with barista drinks, and on Sundays, you can even enjoy brunch there! It's a place that evolves throughout the week to suit your desires!
