Ritz Paris Le Comptoir, Ritz Paris new patisserie where you can now enjoy creations by François Perret is open! This time, we are not speaking about a small temporary counter like this past summer or during the Holidays, not at all! This time, it is official, it will be open indefinitely: Ritz Paris patisserie opens at 38 rue Cambon in lieu of Ritz Bar, the palace’s former bar. OPening from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, it has it all.
Like Chef Cédric Grolet’s patisserie at Le Meurice, Ritz Paris is about to welcome a new den of good food, under the aegis of pastry chef François Perret, of course. And let us say it right away, with his title as World’s best restaurant pâtissier 2019, you are in good hands!
The place is not only working as a patisserie, but also a tea room with several tables to have a seat and enjoys cakes and drinks by the chef.
The new patisserie is accessible from rue Cambon, as well as from within the hotel, for the palace guests. In this spotless setting decorated with white and beige hues (historically chosen as they make your complexion look good), arches reminding of the architecture of the Place Vendôme and crystal lights from Bohemia for a sophisticated and modern touch. Pastry chef François Perret has created a special menu whetting our appetites already. What does Ritz Paris Le Comptoir have in store, then?
For this spot, the chef has come up with long viennoiseries such as the pain au chocolat shape-shifting to give you the same delight from the beginning to the very last crumb. Chocolate all along, and crunchy croissants from A to Z, this is what the place promises. Note a €11-breakfast menu with viennoiserie and hot beverage is provided. In a long format as well, you cna enjoy the Saint-Honoré and sandwiches created to provide more stuffing that bread, such as the Caesar version below.
You can also enjoy madeleines of all kinds, simple or giant cookies, and pastry-like hot or cold beverages to enjoy the chef's pastries in a drinkable version.
At the entrance, a delicatessen corner provides wines to pair these delights, pastry-inspired candles, and even an apron by Chef François Perret.
Last but not least, this is also the place to be to find Chef Perret's iconic pastries that already made all sweet-toothed foodies agreed. They are mostly found in a size serving two. Marble Cake, rice pudding with raspberry, milk brioche roll, cheesecake, chocolate bar, and strawberry tart were available on the opening day.
In other words, what are you waiting for? Go and treat yourself!
