A great place to discover for all meat and beer lovers! After its first French address, in Saint-Étienne, Doppio Malto, Italian brewer since 2004, opened a brand new restaurant in the Westfield Les 4 Temps shopping center, in La Défense, on April 13, 2022, and invites you to discover its fabulous cuisine based around meat, but also, and above all, its beers, all hand-crafted.

Because before being a restaurant, Doppio Malto is above all a bet on beer, in Italy: born near Lake Como, in Erba, in 2004, the company has since expanded and offers unique craft beers in its stores... A total of 18 references are on offer here, ranging from very light white beers to highly aromatic brown ales.

In addition to the beers on offer, Doppio Malto invites you on a culinary journey around braised meat, with its super tartars, burgers and, above all, braised "planks", offering all kinds of cuts of meat (magret, ribs, sausages, chicken thighs, etc.). Note also that the house also offers pizzas, pastas and other starters that smell of sunny Italy, such as burrata, crostone, pollo fritto, mozzarella and other succulent parmigiana.

And what about the establishment? The 500m2 space is a veritable ode to modernity and relaxation... In addition to your table, there are several play areas, including a pool table and table soccer, and an indoor petanque court to help you digest between courses. For children, there's a dedicated area with games and other activities, all tailored to their size. There's also a photobooth to finish off your meal in style!

A cuisine that the editorial team was able to try out. And let's face it, the menu is a real treat. We indulged in a braised meat "plank", an assortment, and were particularly surprised by the quality of the products and the cooking, making the pieces of meat excellent, some of them even melting. For the beverage, a beer selected by the owner, Enea Lazzaretti, who perfectly matched the tastes of each guest: a white beer with notes of banana and Williams pear, very low in alcohol, and a blond beer with citrus notes.

And for dessert, Doppio Malto's specialty, the"birramisu", a tiramisu with vanilla mascarpone cream and beer-soaked cookies instead of coffee. And if there's one dessert you've got to come for, it's birramisu! The vanilla mascarpone is a real treat, extremely creamy, and the beer adds a definite lightness to the dessert. It's just divine! You order one, then recommend another to recover from the first. If that doesn't get you going...
