This is quite the unexpected news: the reunion of Fugees!
The band – reunited for a compelling tour – is stopping by Paris at the end of 2021. The Fugees are to perform on Saturday December 4, 2021 at Paris la Défense Arena for their only show in France.
This has not been left to chance if the Fugees – major band in the 90’s – is reuniting in 2021. This “Reunion Tour” – also called “The Score 25th Anniversary Tour” – celebrates the 25th anniversary of the release of “The Score”, the second (and last) studio album of the Fugees. Released on February 13, 1996, this little gem features “Fu-Gee-La”, “Killing Me Softly”, and “No Woman No Cry”, a Bob Marley cover in partnership with one of his sons, Stephen Marley. Mixing hip-hop, rap, soul and reggae “The Score” counts up to 10 million albums sold.
Although the Fugees have been active for only 4 years in the 1990’s and 3 in the early 2000’s, the band has definitely left their brand in the history of music. The three members of the band – Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel – have all followed solo music careers.
In 2021, the band celebrates the 25th anniversary of their legendary album with an audience and a world tour. And on the occasion, it is together that Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel will walk the stage of Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre (92).
Tickets for the show go on sale from Friday September 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. (Paris time).
A presale is to take place the day before, on September 23, at the same hour. Do not be late… unlike Lauryn Hill!
