It is in the South of the United States, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries jazz music was born. Since then, this major music style has traveled the world over the course of years, with huge jazz legends such as Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Sidney Bechet, Dizzy Gillespie and more recently Brad Mehldau and Kamasi Washington.
