Delayed over coronavirus and lockdown, the “Bowie Odyssée” exhibition will ultimately unfold at Le Palace.
Devoted to late musician David Bowie, “Bowie Odyssée” is to be displayed from May 19 to August 31, 2021.
The “Bowie Odyssée” exhibition pays tribute to the British singer who died on January 10, 2016 through the prism of his fans. Because the “Let’s Dance” singer knew – all along his 50-year fruitful career – how to gather crowds around his work. Furthermore, the exhibition is subtitled “50 ans de fanmania” [50 years of fan-mania]. Because David Bowie’s diehard fans have developed a real fan-mania for their idol.
“Bowie Odyssée” gathers over 1,000 items on David Bowie. Items from private – and often very rare – collections. What is to be seen in “Bowie Odyssée”? Vinyl discs (some even belong to Radio France), posters, pictures, promotional items (press kits, point of sale displays…) and merchandise returning on 50 years of career in music, movies, theater and overall art. And you will even see his birth certificate!
This exhibition has been already displayed in a quite different version back in the Fall 2018 in Saint-Etienne.
David Bowie fans, you really do not want to miss the “Bowie Odyssée” exhibition at Le Palace!
