Here we go again! Paris Fashion Week returns from September 29 to October 7, 2025, with a new week to unveil the new women's ready-to-wear trends for the Spring-Summer 2026 season. As always, some of the Couture Houses' and designers' shows promise to be grandiose.
However, to ensure that the parades run smoothly, the Préfecture de police de Paris has announced temporary parking and traffic restrictions in several of the capital's thoroughfares. Several decrees have been published, with restrictions in central Paris and the 8th arrondissement. So, what exactly can we expect? We tell you all about it.
A first decree announces restrictions in the 8th arrondissement on the occasion of the Carven fashion show scheduled for October 2, 2025. In detail, parking and movement of all motor vehicles will be prohibited on October 2 from 2pm to 5pm, on rue Jean Mermoz, between rue de Ponthieu and the Champs-Elysées - Marcel Dassault traffic circle, and on the side street of the Champs-Elysées - Marcel Dassault traffic circle, between avenue Matignon and avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt.
A second decree bans all vehicle traffic, also in the 8th arrondissement, for the Vetements fashion show on October 3 at N°22 avenue des Champs-Élysées. Specifically, it bans all vehicle traffic on October 3, 2025, from 12pm to 5pm, in the side alley of the Champs-Élysées - Marcel Dassault traffic circle,"in the section between avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt and avenue des Champs-Elysées".
Finally, the Préfecture de police has announced in another order that traffic will be temporarily restricted on October 4 in Paris Centre, due to the Hermès Femmes fashion show. On that day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., all traffic will be prohibited on rue de Sully.
