The Navigo-Rémi Pass will come into service on November 3, 2025, on the Paris-Dreux and Paris-Montargis-Gien-Briare lines. The result of a partnership between the Centre-Val de Loire Region and Île-de-France Mobilités, this new ticket simplifies the daily lives of 7,000 passengers who currently have two separate season tickets. This initiative responds to strong demand from users in the Paris region and the Loiret, Eure-et-Loir, and Loir-et-Cher departments who make these journeys on a daily basis.
Until now, passengers using these lines had to juggle between their Rémi Zen pass for the Centre-Val de Loire region and their Navigo Pass for the Île-de-France region. This was a restrictive situation that meant having to present two cards during ticket inspections, provide two supporting documents to their employer for the mandatory 50% reimbursement, and deal with cumbersome administrative tasks on a daily basis. This complexity particularly affects workers who travel through stations such as Dordives, Ferrières-Fontenay, Montargis, Nogent-sur-Vernisson, Gien, and Briare on the Loiret side, or Marchezais-Broué and Dreux on the Eure-et-Loir side.
From the end of October, affected annual subscribers can register online using the dedicated form on the Île-de-France Mobilités website. The process is simple: you will receive your Navigo-Rémi Pass by mail with a hologram sticker to affix to your existing Navigo card. There is no need to cancel your current subscriptions, as the price remains unchanged. For the Paris-Montargis line, for example, the Rémi Zen subscription will still cost €116, plus €88.80 for the monthly Navigo Pass from January 2025.
On the other hand, the administrative simplification is real. Only one certificate to send to your employer, only one card to validate on public transport. The Navigo-Rémi Pass works exactly like a standard Navigo Pass on the entire Île-de-France network: 750 train stations, RER and metro stations, 15 tram lines, and 10,500 buses. This allows you to travel freely throughout the Île-de-France region in addition to your trips to the Centre-Val de Loire region.
This first step marks a real breakthrough in cooperation between the two regions. Announced in June 2024 by François Bonneau, President of the Centre-Val de Loire Region, and Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Region, this project responds to a shared desire to facilitate commuting and reduce car use. The aim is also to make the train more attractive to all residents of these areas.
The two regions do not intend to stop there. Other lines could benefit from the scheme, notably Paris-Chartres-Nogent-le-Rotrou, which was mentioned when the project was first announced. Eventually, the Navigo-Rémi Pass will also be digitized to allow online purchase and use from a smartphone, a development eagerly awaited by many users accustomed to this convenience on other networks.
In short, if you are one of the 7,000 users affected by these lines, keep an eye on your mail at the end of October to take advantage of this welcome simplification from November 3.
