In the heart of the Marais, a shop that looks modest hides a genuine Aladdin’s cave for DIY lovers and fans of fashion jewelry. Stretching in a long, narrow space, Noomi showcases entire rows of small pendants, chains, beads and other elements to craft your own personalized necklace or bracelet, a piece that’s truly you!
You can even take advantage of a two-hour workshop to learn how to connect the different links together. That’s enough to make pretty gifts for loved ones or to treat yourself! A space Clara designed to be simple and accessible, to create her jewelry without breaking the bank, she who loved changing her pieces according to her mood!
Many customers walk into the shop to pick their favorites from thousands of charms and pre-cut chains, hoping to stock up on materials to craft their own jewelry at home, provided they already have the tools.
If you haven't picked one up yet, it's obviously available in-store, with pliers, but there are also guides to help you, or you can ask them to assemble it on-site for a few extra euros.
If you’d rather be guided from start to finish to design your own piece of jewelry, the shop offers a 2-hour workshop upstairs in a cozy space, whether you’re flying solo, with friends, or celebrating a birthday!
Plan to spend €60 for this workshop, which comes with 10 charms and a drink. It isn’t really suitable for children under 8, since you have to assemble tiny pieces and you’ll need a bit of patience.
While selecting the pendants is playful and fun, you still have to assemble each charm and attach them to the necklace, painstakingly prying open the tiny chain links with two pairs of pliers. We tried it, and while it becomes easier once you get the hang of it, it’s no easy feat at the start!
That budget may seem steep, but here’s the upside: if you’re into Do It Yourself, you can walk out of the store for just a few euros, by choosing the cheapest pendants (between 1.80 and 5 euros each) and your necklace. Some are even ready to wear, clips-on, with no tools needed to attach them to a chain.
The toughest part is choosing, because the range is so wide you could get lost among turtles, gleaming fans, strawberries, rainbows, or medallions! Note that all pieces are crafted from stainless steel, brass, or natural stones, built to stand the test of time. Nobody leaves Noomi with the same jewel, and that’s what makes the place so magical.
In-store, you can also pick up ready-made jewelry if you’d like, including pretty rings and earrings, but also items to create fun, personalized keychains. It’s even possible to have bracelets or pouches embroidered with a name, or have a piece of jewelry engraved to forever inscribe your love for a loved one.
