After the Paris Olympic Games in 2024, the capital will host the European Swimming Championships in 2026! In 2023, the French Swimming Federation made France's bid official for the 100th anniversary of the competition, which was born in 1926. There's no doubt that 2020 will have been a sporting year in Paris, between the Rugby World Cup, the Para-Athletics World Championships and the Olympic Games! See you from July 31 to August 16, 2026, at the Olympic Aquatic Centre!
The competition brings together over 1100 athletes in five disciplines: swimming, open water swimming, synchronized swimming, diving and high diving. The Pont Alexandre III and the Centre Aquatique Olympique will see Europe's best swimmers go head-to-head, with our men's hope Léon Marchand undoubtedly at the top of his game, along with our other elite athletes!
Built especially for the Paris Games, the Olympic Aquatics Centre (CAO) will once again be used for a major event, while the waters of the Seine will host the open water events. France hasn't been able to bring the European Championships back to the big pool since 1987, but this centenary should go down in sporting history!
Ticketing opens this Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2pm, with different prices for different disciplines and events, except for the Open Water and High Diving events, for which tickets will only be available from February 2026.
