A new barge is set to anchor on the banks of the Seine near the Notre-Dame Cathedral in spring 2026! This time, the Artflux group is focusing on a cultural and literary boat, following in the footsteps of urban art at Fluctuart, contemporary photography at Quai de la Photo, and jazz from Son de la Terre.
Designed as a vibrant literary space, home to nearly 5,000 titles, the boat named NANNA aims to showcase a diverse collection that spans contemporary literature, classic French and international works, poetry, philosophy, travel writing, fine arts, and comics.
Truly a space of knowledge and freedom, the boat functions like a large library where all second-hand books are available for anyone to browse freely. With a spirit of trust, visitors can read on site, borrow books at will, or even leave new titles to enrich the collection. As a collection of pre-loved books, it is destined to evolve constantly over time. As for the programming on board, it promises to be vibrant and diverse.
Book launches, signings, author meet-and-greets, writing workshops, podcast recordings, BookTok events — around twenty gatherings each month will animate NANNA and foster conversations between authors and readers in a space designed just for them. During the day, the atmosphere is calm and inviting; in the evening, it transforms into a lively, festive setting with signature cocktails in hand. And what could be more fitting for a literary hub than the surroundings of the Latin Quarter, offering a stunning view at the foot of Notre-Dame de Paris?
