The Bulgarian Cultural Institute is pleased to present for the first time the artist’s solo exhibition by contemporary artist Rossen Markovski, titled The Tale of the Fish. The opening will take place on Thursday, March 26th, at 6:30 pm.
This exhibition features 25 paintings alongside several sculptures — “touches of encounter and love,” as the artist describes — inspired by his life “on the edge of the sea.”
Markovski paints with spontaneous expressiveness; his works of art are both powerful and delicate, conveying deep emotions. They are bursts of color and silence, stories beyond words and consciousness.
Rosen Markovski was born in 1964 in Troyan. He studied at the School of Applied Arts and later graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia.
With over 70 personal exhibitions across Bulgaria and Europe, his works are part of private collections throughout Europe and the United States.
Beyond his paintbrush, Markovski is also a musician, experimental filmmaker, poet, and founder of ART PARK Sinemorets, a summer laboratory dedicated to international artistic projects.
The exhibition will be open for visitors until May 22nd.
