Michelangelo / Rodin: A Unique Face-Off of Sculptors at the Louvre Museum

Four centuries separate them. Yet, they are brought together in a single exhibition, offering a rare artistic showdown at the Louvre from April 15 to July 2, 2026. The Parisian museum presents "Michelangelo / Rodin", an exhibition that brings two of the most influential Western sculptors into dialogue.

Rodin the Frenchman, Michelangelo the Italian: two towering figures and essential icons of the art world. But also two sculptors who continuously explored, crafted, and depicted the human body. The Louvre Museum brings their contrasting visions of the body and soul into conversation, showcasing a selection of extraordinary statues and sculptures.

This exhibition is organized into five sections, each showcasing a wide array of works including numerous bronze pieces, marble sculptures, plaster casts, terracotta works, and molds. Additionally, it features a rich collection of drawings and graphic works that offer insight into the creative process of each artist.
