A well-known Parisian boat among street art enthusiasts, the floating urban art center Fluctuart, moored just a stone’s throw from the Alexandre III Bridge, showcases the work of 72 urban artists inspired by the Paris metro system.
Everyone was encouraged to create, with the Paris subway map as their canvas. Familiar to daily commuters and an essential tool for many, this iconic map becomes more than just a navigation aid. For the exhibition titled "Life Flows Through Its Arteries", the renowned Paris Metro plan transforms into a symbolic backdrop, where the crisscrossing lines, the curves of the Seine, and a host of famous landmarks weave together to form the tapestry of their works.
From January 15 to April 22, 2026, visitors can explore on the Fluctuart barge a selection of works that are sometimes intimate, sometimes politically engaged—highlighting the strong connections between contemporary artists and the French capital. This exhibition marks the first on Fluctuart to showcase a private collection— that of Jérôme Dauchez—offering a rich, eclectic overview of urban art. It celebrates a variety of styles, from abstract and figurative to lettering, portraiture, animal imagery, and even the fantastical.
In total, 72 original artworks are on display aboard the barge. Among them, visitors can admire pieces created by some of the leading figures in the contemporary urban art scene, such as Speedy Graphito, Bordalo II, Jo Di Bona, Levalet, Nasty, Refreshink, as well as Ardif and Madame. The exhibition offers a quick but engaging visit—perfect if you’re exploring the area! Best of all, entry is free and open to all, so it’s definitely worth stopping by!
