Located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, the Musée Bourdelle is housed in the apartments, studios and gardens where sculptor Antoine Bourdelle lived and worked from 1885. At the end of his life, Antoine Bourdelle, like Rodin, planned to create his own museum in Paris. His wish was granted in 1949, with the creation of the Musée Bourdelle.
The gardens are home to many of the sculptor's bronze works, including Le Fruit, Héraklès archer, the bas-reliefs for the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and Adam et Pénélope. A timeless place, far from the hustle and bustle of the capital, that's sure to delight those in search of greenery.
Pass through the doors of the Musée Bourdelle and stroll through its beautiful green gardens during the Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2023! From June 4 to 6, 2023, the museum invites families into its heart with a lovely outdoor program for young and old alike. And it's all free!
