You may have had the chance to sample his creations at Les Enfants du Marché, in the Marché des Enfants Rouges, or perhaps during his various residencies over the years in Paris. Now, it's in his name that Japanese chef Masahide Ikuta is preparing to inaugurate his own (and first!) table in the capital, scheduled to open in May 2025!
Not far from an excellent new Michelin-starred address (the fabulous Amâlia), at 26 bis rue de la Fontaine au Roi, this new eponymous restaurant (it will simply be called Masaikuta) will open its doors, making this street in the 11th arrondissement a must for Parisian gourmets.
On the menu of this 35-cover restaurant, proud and refined French gastronomy as he learned it from Bruno Verjus and Stéphane Jego at L'Ami Jean, with, one suspects, Japanese influences, ingredients and ideas carefully and delicately injected into his creations... but not only!
A new address to watch out for very, very closely, and one of the most eagerly awaited new restaurants of 2025. To find out what else is in store, click below:
