You may know him from his long tenure at Sushi B, the Michelin-starred sushi counter on the outskirts of Square Louvois. Or perhaps you've discovered him during his various residencies in the French capital, until very recently, last February, at Dali, the restaurant at Le Meurice.
Today, Masayoshi Hanada is in the news for an opening in his own name, in Paris. The Japanese chef is preparing to inaugurate Sushi Hanada, his own Japanese restaurant. The exact address is not yet known, but the district is: Sushi Hanada will open its doors in the capital's 7th arrondissement.
To achieve this, Masayoshi Hanada has surrounded himself with a man who knows a thing or two about Japanese cuisine: restaurateur Paul Dupuy, already behind two excellent addresses: the 2* Sushi Yoshinaga restaurant and the 1* Sushi Shunei restaurant. In terms of timing, rumour has it that Sushi Hanada is due to open its doors before the start of the new school year, probably in the summer of 2025.
An address eagerly awaited, with saliva at the corners of their mouths, by the very many nippophiles who live or stay in the capital. So stay tuned for the opening date of chef Masayoshi Hanada's restaurant in Paris.
